USA Collection Podium Edition - Large Series - WorldRaceCircuits

Mounting Your Collection

Each collection is supplied with a double sided foam padded tape which we have have made specifically. It's only 3mm in width, 2mm in depth and black in colour allowing for a very subtle but strong installation

It will adhere well to most interior surfaces if dry and free of dust/debris.

We highly recommend testing one circuit (somewhere low down!) to ensure adhesion
before committing to the rest of the collection. If you have any difficulty after reading the guide below, please do get in touch and we'll help where we can. Enjoy!

Using Your Adhesive Tape

1. Cut small pieces approx. 1cm each from the strips provided. Mini and medium pieces will work well with just a couple of pieces, larger will need 3-4 pieces equally spaced.

2. Adhere tape to the circuits first. While on a hard flat surface such as a table top, press firmly to create a good bond.

3. Try arranging the display on a table or floor space first to get a feel for how it might work in the wall space.

3. When ready to install, peel off the tape covers. The adhesive is quite strong so it can be a good idea to touch the sticky surface once before installing. This just removes some of it's 'tack' making them easier to move or remove later.

4. When positioned as you wish, offer some pressure to create a good bond with the wall surface. The adhesive will grab firmly straight away but increase in strength further over 24-36hours.

Other Mounting Options

Double Sided Tape

Our solution is a foam padded ultra thin black tape which will sit circuits proud of a wall by 1-2mm. A regular unpadded double sided tape may work too if your wall is super flat in order to mount the circuits completely flush. Always try one lower down first to test adhesion.

Ensure the wall surface is clean and free of debris. Cut 2-3 pieces measuring approx. 2cm each for each circuit.

Apply tape to the circuit first and press to wall.

To remove (if required) gently twist or shear to break adhesion from circuits and wall surfaces.

Glue Dots

These ultra small, transparent 'dots' are an effective alternative for all sizes and finishes. They can be found as small as 3mm in diameter.

Tips:

- Ensure the wall is free of dust or residue before applying. A brush or damp wipe will help ensure this.

- Avoid handling the dots as much as possible; if they pick up dust/debris they become less effective. Try to apply them directly from the white film.

3M Adhesive Pads

3M make really good adhesives and their double sided pads will hold circuits extremely well. They are often designed to be more permanent so can pull paint away if removed but for a solid installation, a good choice.

They are easy to cut with scissors too in order to make the pads equal to or less than the widths of the tracks.

Adhesives

For a more permanent display you may use adhesives to secure circuits to the wall.

Both the acrylic and wood finish circuits have very smooth backs making it hard for many glues/adhesives to 'bite'. A more specialist solution is required over the more domestic household options.

Contact adhesive is very effective for bonding different and difficult surfaces together. Please do read manufacturer instructions carefully before use though.

Grab adhesives may be used but you will likely need to rough the application surface first. Some fine grit abrasive paper will do that nicely.
